The Mind or The Heart ?

Something that comes up constantly and consistently is a paradox between the head and the heart. Often times, we are caught dangling in the battle of our mind and the heart about most situations in life. The push and the pull between what is logical and what feels emotionally right is so challenging. There's a constant voice running around our heads - "I'm stuck in this war between my heart and my mind''. There is a lot on your mind. Your heart is full, yet heavy. You have a lot of uncertainties and hopeless moments, but also feels like you know the answers, instinctually. It's hard.

Why are we given the head and heart, which are so clearly to be in opposition ? Why do we constantly feel like we need to choose ?

Because it is likely that we are going to choose the heart. Again, and again - until our brains scream at us loud enough to be logical or reasonable enough. But, do we really listen ? We hope for our hearts to be right. We keep playing with the flame that burns us in hopes that we'll either get used to the burn or it will magically stop hurting us this time. Our heart is like a kid and our mind is a fully fledged human for the world. Choosing your heart gives you inner bliss and choosing your mind gives you what the world has for you. It depends on the circumstances to choose between the two, wisely.

Sometimes your heart needs to accept whatever your mind already knows. If it's still in your mind, then it's still in your heart. When we hear something about our past or anything at all, our hearts tend to take the good news from it whereas our minds take the bad news. That's how it is most of the times - leading to an unending battle.

You've got to train your mind to be stronger than your emotions or else you will lose yourself, every time. Your mind needs to be convinced of the truth that it has to let go because your heart already knows how to heal. If you avoid the conflict to keep the peace, then you start a war inside yourself. Your sanity shouldn't be sacrificed in order to defy logic. It doesn't mean you're weak just because your mind and heart feels so damn heavy!

Your heart is at war with your mind because it is preparing for the heart that is meant for you.

Hold your heart! Set your mind free!
When your mind takes control, your heart will start listening to your mind. When your heart finally accepts what your mind already knows, things will change and you won't be the same person who first walked in.
Until then, we've got to keep feeling this feeling.
